Alpaca Consulting USA (ACUSA) is a provider of several resources to the US alpaca industry and is also home to "Alpacas of Carrickalinga", a small herd of black huacaya dedicated to demonstrating the breeding principles of Elite Alpaca Breeding Systems. ACUSA provides broad based consulting services in all aspects of alpaca animal and fibre production, as well as specialised breeding seminars and workshops around the country. It is also a publisher of alpaca books - 'The International Alpaca Handbook' and 'Alpaca Fibre - An Introduction' with more editions to come.ACUSA is the trading name of Ian Watt, an Australian alpaca breeder, immediate past President of the Australian Alpaca Association and industry consultant, who lives in California. ACUSA is leading the way in fibre follicle counts, in-skin micron counts and primary to secondary ratio follicle counts - new gene management selection tools for the advanced and discerning alpaca breeder in the United States of America.
