Alpacas at West Ranch is the joint venture of Joan Speirs and Hayley Jessup who between them have over 40 years in the alpaca/llama world. Alpacas at West Ranch features some of the top breeding lines in the US and we welcome newcomers to the business as well as those experienced in the world of camelids. Come by and visit any time.

At West Ranch we believe in the celebration of alpaca ownership. This means that we are ready to meet new owners and introduce them to the amazing world of alpaca ownership or we love to share stories with those who already own alpacas. We have been breeding, selling and boarding animals together (Joan and Hayley) for over 5 years, but individually we have owned and bred animals for over 26 years (Joan) and over 12 years (Hayley) so you know that you will be met with experience!
Our own herds represent some of the top breeding lines in the country - El R Peruvian Luciano, Peruvian Hemmingway, Caligula, Accoyo lines and many more. We pride ourselves on thoughtful, careful breeding plans with an eye to producing superb fiber animals that are also appealing to look at! We have many studs available at the Ranch on an ongoing basis and also work to bring in visiting studs from other parts of the West Coast and further when possible!
